Virat Kohli expensive drop catch, Miller scores third fastest century

David Miller century

David Miller came up with one of the best IPL innings ever, where he scored the third fastest century and in the process help Kings XI defeat RCB at Mohali. But, there is a certain person whom Miller should personally go and thank – the RCB skipper, Virat Kohli, who dropped a skier ne route to the swashbuckling century. The batsmen had just scored just 41 runs then. The drop catch hit RCB real hard as Miller took the attack to the opposition and did not spare a single bowler.

What surprises us more is the player who dropped the catch, as Virat Kohli is known as one of the best fielders not only in Indian cricket but also world cricket. With the ball high in the sky, Virat looked to be in the best position to catch the ball with fingers pointing skywards, Aussie style but it went through those hands. To make it look more embarrassing, the ball hit Kohli’s face.

It was after the drop catch that the player cut loose in a special manner. He reached his half century in 24 balls and scored his next fifty runs in an incredible 14 balls. He reached the three figure mark in the last ball of the 18th over, which was bowled by Gayle. But, one should not take anything away from the batsmen, who was at his menacing best, who hit eight fours and seven sixes.
