IPL 2013 first hat trick by Sunil Narine

Sunil Narine became the first bowler in IPL 2013 to take a hat-trick of wickets. It was an amazing display by the West Indian spinner taking three crucial wickets of David Hussey, Azhar Mahmood and Gurkeerat Singh.

The first wicket of David Hussey may well have been a lucky one, where the catch was caught on second attempt by Bisla, KKR’s wicket-keeper after Hussey thick edged the ball to Bisla. But the second wicket was a special one, where Azhar Mahmood played down the wrong line, which resulted in the ball being spooned to the bowler himself. These two wickets were very important in the context of the match, as these players could take the game way from KKR.

But, it was the hat-trick ball by Sunil Narine, which stood out, where the batsmen, Gurkeerat Singh was done by the carrom ball. It was a brilliant ball with the batsmen’s wicket being castled by a brilliant bowler, who has tormented batsmen throughout the league this season as like last year, where Sunil Narine was one of the best bowlers in the IPL.

This may be the first hat-trick of 2013 IPL, but one can expect such hat-tricks to take place in the upcoming matches as well with the number of quality players in the competition.
