Real Madrid Vs Manchester United

Real Madrid and Manchester United are in prime form and what better time for football fans to see these teams clash in the second leg of the Champions’ League fixtures for the round of 16 at Old Trafford. Manchester United has been playing consistently well in the English Premier League topping the EPL standings. Real Madrid has just beaten Barcelona twice in a matter of weeks time. Both clubs are high on confidence with the first leg ending in a draw.

With the game in the first leg cherished by fans with both teams giving their best, expect the same this time around as well and may be even more as the winner of match is going to progress in the competition. Manchester United is still on the lookout for treble, as they already seem to have put one hand on the EPL trophy. Manchester have turned their focus to Champions League. A win against one of the favourites, Real Madrid would eventually help them pose few inches closer to the Champions League title. On the other hand in the La Liga, Barcelona is the favouroite for the domestic title, so Madrid’s biggest ambition would be to win the coveted title of UEFA Champions’ League.

One look at the squad of these clubs puts into picture about the quality that would be at the offing in Old Trafford. Names such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Benzema, Alosno and Casillas etc for Real Madrid and Van Persie, Ryan Giggs, Wayne Rooney for Manchester United are player who can help their team win the game single-handedly on their own, but this match will require the cumulative effort from all the players in all positions, midfielders, defenders and strikers.

A small mistake here and there could be the difference between a victory and defeat. There is not much to choose between the two teams. Both teams have got two of the best football managers, Jose Mourinho for Real Madrid and Sir Alex Ferguson for Manchester United. But, these managers need to chalk some major plans to stop the other team from dominating the other. Real Madrid may have a slight edge over their opponent in this regard, but Alex Ferguson with his experience is also one of the best in the business.

The biggest headache for Ferguson would be to stop Ronaldo from scoring goals and Mourinho would have to make his own tactics ready against the Dutch international, Van Persie who has been scoring goals left and right of the goalkeeper.
