Deadline Day January Transfers 2013

January 31, 2013

Football transfers

Alvaro Negredo has been linked with a number of EPL teams in the past but no EPL club has ever reached an agreement with the Sevilla striker. This time around, in the last day of January transfers, Everton have turned their attention to Negredo and lure the player to Everton.

Manchester City after having sold Mario Balotelli to AC Milan are interested in David Villa, Barcelona’s striker.

After Liverpool signed two players in the January transfers, Daniel Sturridge and Philippe Coutinho, they seem to have given up hope of signing Tom Ince, who is inching closer to a move with Reading.

QPR under Harry Redknapp has been trying their level best to sign in players to improve upon their squad. His latest targets all seem to be his former players, Jermaine Jenas, David Bentley and Andros Townsend. Signing of these players for QPR in the final day of the transfers could bolster QPR’s squad and help them avoid relegation.

Tottenham Hotspur is also keen to add a striker before the transfer window shuts down today. They seem to have lined up Lyon striker Bafetimbi Gomis and they might give it an attempt to acquire his services today itself.

As usual, it is basically the strikers who get linked to a number of clubs. Stoke City, who might lose one of their strikers, Peter Crouch to QPR are expected to sign the England striker Darren Bent from Aston Villa.
