January Transfer Window: Loic Remy to QPR or Newcastle, Ince to Liverpool?

January 6, 2013

It is not only Manchester United that are keen to make Wilfred Zaha, the Crystal Palace star player as part of their squad in the January transfer window, but also Tottenham Hotspur, who are expected to open talks with the player for GBP 10 million move.

Wesley Sneijder, the Inter Milan playmaker has shown his interest in joining an EPL club, so it would not be surprising if top EPL clubs such as Liverpool, Arsenal, and Manchester United try to sign the player. But, there has been no formal approach that has been made by any EPL club. He could well be the buy of January transfers.

Loic Remy is another wanted striker, as Newcastle United and QPR have particularly shown interest in the player. His club, Marseille is said to have put up an asking price of GBP 10 million and both the above teams are ready to shell out this figure. So, in all probability, it seems that it is upon the player to decide his future.

Liverpool, in spite of signing Daniel Sturridge understands the need to bolster their squad, so they are still on the lookout for players, who fits into Rodgers scheme of things. Tom Ince seems to be their target, but they have not been able meet Blackpool’s demand of GBP 6 million.

QPR are struggling in the relegation zone so they are looking for quality players to help them climb up the table and avoid relegation. Nicloas Anelka, Tim Cahill, David Beckham and Robbie Keane are just some of the players that the club is interested in signing. But, as per latest reports, Robbie Keane has ruled out a return to the Premier League.

Arsenal is also preparing a bid for the Wigan star, James McCarthy, just 22 years of age for GBP 8 million. The club has also once again started talks with Theo Walcott for a new contract.
