Balotelli and Aguero out of Manchester City? David Villa their replacement?

David Villa to join Manchester City

David Villa, one of the most prolific goal scorers of world football might be seen representing Manchester City, if a deal is struck during the upcoming January transfer window for the player who might replace either of the Manchester City strikers, Mario Balotelli or Sergio Aguero. There has been numerous instances when Balotelli has not been able to have a good relationship with the manager, Mancini. But, the latter, Aguero seems to have been unsettled in the club as well.

There are chances that the deal might even materialise, as David Villa has not been offerred good time on the football pitch in Barcelona colours after his long injury lay-off. The new manager, Tito Vilanova has not deployed the player in the park, but mostly used players such as Pedro, Alexis Sanchez and Cristian Tello, which just increases Villa’s chances of signing for City. If the club decides to go and get the player, money should be no hindrance, as City are known for splurging big money for players of their choice. It all depends on whether Barcelona are keen to sell and Manchester City are ready to buy.

Bringing in David Villa is only going to help Manchester City, as he has a very good scoring record for Spain as well as Barcelona. There is no dearth for strikers in Manchester City, but City’s squad would only look better with David Villa in the squad. His knack of scoring goals will attract not only Manchester City but also clubs like Liverpool, Juventus, who are also keen for a striker during the January transfer window. With the EPL competition being their top-most priority after their Champions League exit, they would like to make the best replacements in the January transfer window and Villa could prove to be the best business.

With Mancini openly criticising their players for lack of goals, their strikers would feel hurt with what they have achieved in the past and even the current season, where they are second in the points table. So, it would not be surprising if Aguero or Balotelli exits Manchester City, which the fans would not want, especially the former, who has scored many crucial goals for the club.
