India and Cameroon are yet to play against one another in the Nehru Cup. These two nations are the best teams of the competition so far, so it is no big surprise to see these two teams reach the finals of the competition scheduled for Sunday, 2 September 2012. But, before they play the title match, they need to face one another tomorrow on 31 August 2012 at the Jawaharalal Nehru Stadium for the last league match of the tournament. The game can be used by both teams – the way they want to, as their is no question of pressure on either of the teams to win.

One has to agree that the team winning the all important league match would be a confident side when they play for the trophy on Sunday. It all depends upon what the respective team management wants- they might rest some of the key players who has not been given any sort of rest in the tournament. If this is done, then their players would remain fresh in the finals of the competition. On the other hand, youngsters would also get a chance to prove themselves in an international stage. In case, these youngsters impress the coach, then the management could also have alternative players on the bench. Neither Indian nor Cameroon has lost a single match in the tournament. They would be eager to maintain their winning record in the tournament.

But, on the other hand, it would be a great opportunity for the coach to experiment with their teams. But fans would want to see a good game of football, irrespective of what side is put on the field. With the quality of players in both the squad, there would be no compromise on the quality of the match. The coach could try out different options as far as the formations are concerned. What if, a new formation brings the best out of the players. Even, if it does not they can resort to their previous formation, which had earlier helped them in winning their previous matches.

Irrespective of whatever changes the respective sides bring to their teams in the last group encounter, it is the finals, which is going to count the most. Cameroon would be eager to win the title, as it is quite rare for an African nation to participate in the tournament. On the other hand, it is India, who has been one of the best teams in the competition, ever since the tournament started. India would be looking for their third Nehru Cup title.
