Carroll, Walcott, Dempsey transfer news and rumours

August 30, 2012

The transfer window is expected to be at its peak with teams trying to bolster their squad for the season. Andy Carroll , Clint Demspey , Theo Walcott has been one of the hottest topic for Liverpool transfers, where the rumours/news never ceases to end. It is only after the transfer deadline day of 31 August 2012 that we would be able to differentiate between a fact and fiction.

But, as of now, Carroll might be one his way out of Anfield, but we are not sure as to which team would he represent after the transfer window closes. It would not be surprising if the player remains at Anfield. There are EPL transfer rumours, which suggest that the player might be heading to Newcastle United, West Ham or even AC Milan, but nothing substantial has come out from any of the reports. Initially , it was said that Newcastle would sign the player, later it was AC Milan who was interested and now it seems West Ham, who might make a big move for the player. Though, it remains to be seen.

Another such Liverpool player, Clint Dempsey has been most sought after by Liverpool, as per the media, but it is surprising to hear that the player has not been approached by the club. So is this fact or fiction? But, one thing that everyone knows for sure is that the player is interested in joining Liverpool and made it vocal in public about his eagerness to join Liverpool. But, as of now, the deal might not happen, as there is too less time left for the club to negotiate.

Theo Walcott and Daniel Sturridge are the two players who are the closest in signing for Liverpool. Are they? Theo Walcott failed to negotiate a new contract with his present club, Arsenal, so he he been tracked by Manchester City and Liverpool, with the latter being a favourite to land the player. He could definitely play an important role in Brendan Rodgers style of football.

Daniel Sturridge was also linked with the Liverpool last season, but this time a lot depends upon Andy Carroll’s transfer. Chelsea might not sell the player too, unless a big offer is made. If Liverpool’s no 9 goes out of Anfield, there are chances that Downing and Charlie Adam could be sold to other clubs to raise funds for Walcott and Sturridge. But, we should not underestimate the wealthy owner of Liverpool, John Henry who could splurge out huge money if it helps in the overall improvement of the team. John Henry has shown a lot of trust and confidence in Brendan Rodgers. So, anything can happen before the transfer window comes to an end on 31 August.
