The new Liverpool manager, Brendan Rodgers has not signed any player after replacing Kenny Dalglish as the Anfield boss. But, he is not someone who is going to bring out a huge cheque book and sign players who do not fit the bill. As per latest news doing the rounds, Fabio Borini could be the first player to sign for Liverpool. Apart from this player, C. Dempsey has also been heavily linked with Liverpool. If all goes well, both the players could well join Liverpool before they head off for their pre-season tour.

Borini is in fact not an unknown element to Brendan Rodgers, as he has worked alongside the player when he was the coach of Chelsea’s academy. They were again reunited when the player joined Swansea on loan impressing all and sundry. Hence, it is no surprise, when the Liverpool manager wants the player to wear the famous Liverpool’s jersey and reunite again. It could be a great deal for both the player and the club.

The player is currently under contract with Italian giants, AS Roma. They might be willing to part ways with the player, if a sizeable bid is placed by the reds. According to rumours, Liverpool could get the player around the GBP 10 million mark, which could keep both the clubs happy too.

Borini also fits into the FSG plan for Liverpool perfectly, as the player has plenty of age (21) by his side. He could be a huge threat in the EPL with his skills on the ball along with his intelligence. Roma has also openly declared about Liverpool’s interest on the player. Roma might be looking for another striker; hence selling Borini for good money could help their cause of acquiring a great striker to bring laurels to their club too.

If Liverpool sign the player, we might see the big Englishmen, Andy Carroll being sent on loan to AC Milan who seems to be interested in the player. It would be futile if a player of such caliber are warming the bench, so a loan is not a bad deal for Carroll with Dempsey also closing in for a Liverpool jersey.
