Federer steamrolls into Wimbledon Semi-Finals

July 5, 2012

Roger Federer came up with an emphatic game to win his Quarter-Finals fixtures against M. Youzhny, where the score read 6-1, 6-2 and 6-2. The Swiss ace was on top of his game, although Youzhny was giving it his all, but still his efforts looked mediocre in front of the one of the greatest players of all time.

The match lasted for around 90 minutes or so. During this time frame, the crowd was enthralled with the game put up by Federer. He was looking good with every passing shot. His strokes from the baseline or volleys near the net were of top notch. Right from the outset, the Swiss ace meant business, as he was making the game look so easy.

Hence, he has progressed into the Semi-Finals of the competition. He would be facing Novak Djokovic and the match promises to be one the best in the tournament. Some even consider this clash to be the finals of the competition.

Both the players played out an easy game, as they won their quarterfinals fixtures in straight sets in an easy manner. But, it is not going to be same, when these 2 players clash with one another. It is not going to be an easy encounter for either of the players. But the competition during the match is going to be of top class. Hence, it is time for Tennis fans to sit back and watch the game between two great players of the modern era.
