Shinji Kagawa rejects Manchester United jersey no 7

Manchester United’s well known jersey number 7 has been rejected by Shinji Kagawa, their new star. It is the same jersey number 7, which has been made iconic by some of the greatest Manchester United players of the past such as George Best, Eric Cantona, David Beckham and Cristiano Ronaldo. But, he believes that he would only wear that jersey number if he becomes an iconic figure for Manchester United.Indeed, those are tough shirts to fit into.

As of now, we are not aware as to which new number would he wear on his shirt. But, according to rumours it might be possible if he wears no 23, as he wore for his last club, Borussia Dortmund. He had been given no 7 by Manchester United, as the player who wore it last season, Michael Owen has been released by the club.

Players in the past who has worn this shirt number 7 has been one of their star players. Their record in Man United jersey speaks volumes about themselves. But, Kawaga had been offered the coveted jersey number, which reflects that Manchester United has high expectations from the player, who has been one of the best players in the Bundesliga last season. It is time for the EPL lovers to be amazed for the skills that the player possesses. Will he succeed?

The player who has been brought from Borussia Dortmund, has signed a four year contract. The player is said to be transferred from his former club to red devils for GBP 17 million. Both the player and the club are happy with the deal.
