Since 1989, no golfer has been able to defend the US Open title. Curtis Strange was the last person to achieve this feat in 1989. It is not going to be an easy task for the Irish golfer, who has been talked about very highly in the circuit. He may have achieved many things in the circuit, but this time around he has to face one of the all time greats, Tiger Woods. If we look at Tiger Wood’s last tournament, there is no denying the fact that the US player is back to his menacing best and would be one of the favourites for the title. Tiger considers this competition to be the toughest test of the year. Everyone agrees with the fact that he is going to face a tough competition with players such as Rory McIlroy, Bubba Watson, Phil Mickelson , Matt Kuchar in the fray, who have all proved themselves in the professional golf arena.

But, all eyes would be set on Tiger woods, who has not won a single majors title for the past four years. The player has been haunted with controversies, which also led to decline in his game after his comeback. The player he is, gradually started to show some form and class in the circuit. He looks in fine shape and form at present, Thus players have again started to fear him.

Apart from the players, the focus has also been on the golf course, which has seen some changes. So it is going to be a different experience for all the players in the course. Irrespective of the course, the players would be giving it their all and try to win the prestigious majors title, US Open. Who will it be? Tiger Woods or Rory McIlroy? May be who knows, it may be neither of them and another young prodigy walks away with the title.
