NBA Finals: Will Miami Heat face the heat from City Thunder?

June 10, 2012

NBA finals, Miami Heat, City Thunder

Miami Heat defeated Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference finals, 4-3 in the best of 7 series to reach the NBA finals to face Oklahoma City Thunder. Thunder had defeated their opponents, San Antonio Spurs during the Western Conference finals. Hence, the NBA finals, which is scheduled to start this Tuesday at Oklahoma is going to be an interesting one , which could go either way.

Miami Heat looks strong to clinch the title, who have some great names in their team, such as Lebron James, D. Wade, Chris Bosh, just to name a few. But there is no way that we can ignore City Thunder for they have defeated great teams en route to the finals, the latest being San Antoni Spurs. Hence, they would put up a strong fight against some of the best players during the NBA finals.

Lebron James is going to go all out when he faces Thunder in the NBA finals, for he has not won a single NBA title, in spite of being one of th greatest NBA players. Hence, it proves that the game is more about team rather than individuals only. The same fact can be echoed by City Thunder, who always play together as a unit. Hence, they have reached so far. They are a team who will never give up easily, as proved in the previous match against Spurs where they were 18 points behind and they came back to win the game.  It is not going to surprise anyone if Thunder walks away with the NBA title and leave the Miami players red faced.

But for this to happen, the Thunder players need to rise to the occasion. If players such as Russell Westbrook, James Harden, Serge Ibaka, Durant etc come up with their best performances individually and also as a team then the Miami Heat will be facing serious heat from their opponents. But, what if the Miami heat fire? Then, the Thunder could well be smoked.
