Western Conference finals between San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma Thunder could go either way

May 23, 2012

Tim Duncan, San Antonio Spurs, Western Conference finals

The NBA Western Conference finalists have been decided, as San Antonio Spurs would play against  Oklahoma City Thunder. Spurs played out a dominating series against Los Angles Clippers, where they won the series 4-0. While City Thunder won their semi-final series against LA Lakers, 4-1. Spurs and Thunder were the first and the second seeded teams for the competition. They have done justice to the seedings by reaching the final stages of the NBA Playoffs.

But, when these two teams clash for the finals, they would give it their best, as it would give both the team an equal chance to play in the NBA finals against the winners of the Eastern Conference, which is a dream for many of the players from the existing teams. Though players such as T. Duncan, S. Parker from Spurs has done and seen it all. But, still they are going to be hungry for more, as it is a matter of a NBA title.

The finals are for sure going to be a great match, as it could go either way. Both teams have to up their game. Looking at the players on the offering, it is not going to be a cakewalk for both the teams .Their will be no easy points on offer.

Both sides have great players who can turn the game on its head. Duncan and Parker for Spurs can turn the game with their amazing combination. They can be a potent threat for Thunder. If they click, it would be impossible for the Thunder to stop them. On the contrary, Thunder would depend on Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant if they are to be crowned champions of the Western Conference. But, neither team would be satisfied with a Conference crown ,as they have the elusive finals crown in their mind.
