Manchester United may steal the EPL title from Manchester City

May 7, 2012

The final round of EPL fixtures is here upon us, yet the Champions of the English Premier League have not been decided. Manchester United and Manchester City are both tied on 86 points. So it could be anyone’s title. But, City seems to have an edge over their rivals, United due to a better goal difference. This season has produced surprising results and what if the final day also brings in the same.

Manchester United or Manchester City, EPL Champions

Manchester United and Manchester City would play their last EPL match at the same time, but different venues. Manchester United would play against Sunderland, while City will face QPR. Both the Manchester clubs are favourites for their respective game. If it goes City’s way, then the noisy neighbours would get even louder.

But, you never know with the EPL. There have been great surprises in the EPL history. Smaller teams have created upsets and played an important role in determining champions. Will it be the same this season? Only, time will tell. Manchester United fans would be praying to football gods for a Manchester City loss and a United win. As, this is the only way they can defend their title.

QPR by the look of things might find it difficult to contain the ever looking offensive team of Manchester City. City has demolished teams in the run up to the final day of the EPL. They have scored 90 goals in the competition, which is most in the EPL. But, even if QPR hold them to a draw and United, on the other hand register a victory, United would be singing, glory glory Man United.

City is in the best spot, so I think they will take right in front of their worst rival.

      • But u never know with EPL…Man Utd has always been lucky….
